Wagon Repair Workshop


The Wagon Repair Workshop, Jhansi is one of the major workshop of Indian Railway spread across an area of 3.4 lakh Sq m with 65000 Sq. m under covered shed, it is  also the biggest Wagon Repair Workshop of Indian Railways . The target outturn of the workshop is 650 wagons per month, it undertakes the POH of BOXN,BCN,BOBYN,BOBRN,BTPN and various types of defence wagon such as DBKM,BWTA,BFAT etc. In addition to this, the Rehabilitation of BOXN Wagon is also undertaken in Jhansi workshop w.e.f. May 2009. The workshop has recently been modernised at a cost of about Rs 110 Crore through Turnkey work by M/s L&T. 


Rail Spring Karkhana Sithouli, Gwalior


Rail Spring Karkhana is Located near Sithouli Railway Station about 12.8 KM away from Gwalior Railway Station. It is a unique workshop designed for manufacture of Hot Coil Helical Springs of various types for use on various types of Rolling Stock over entire Indian Railways. This unit was sanctioned & set-up well before formation of North Central Railway as an independent Railway Zone.

Coach Mid Life Rehabilitation Workshop, Jhansi

Inaugurated by the then Chairman, Railway Board, Mr Arunendra Kumar  the Coach MLR Workshop came into existence on 31.10.2014 . Spread across 32 acres, the coach MLR workshop established in Jhansi is the second largest coach factory after Bhopal in its category.. With the overall setup cost amounting to `117.66 Cr, It is targeted to convert 250 old coaches into new per year for Indian Railways.
