ELECTRICAL OPERATION BRANCH JHANSI

§ORGANIZATION & JURISDICTION

The Electrical Operation Branch (OP) of Jhansi division is responsible for:

i)Management of AC Locomotives on line.

ii)Management of running staff in electrified section, including their training etc.

iii)Cadre control of all loco running staff, including Diesel trained running staff & supervisors.

§Gazetted

Electric Operation is headed by Sr.DEE/OP and assisted by DEE/OP.

§HIGHLIGHTS/ACHIEVEMENTS 2015-2016

1.72 LPM, 283 LPG, 19 TLC/CCOR has been inducted in the cadre of running

staff.

2.Monitoring of Energy Regeneration by individual loco pilot through CMS.

3.Extension of additional 02 rooms in existing Running Room.

4.Provision of Sand filling in locomotives.

§IMPORTANT ISSUES REQUIRING ATTENTION & ASSISTANCE REQUIRED

i)Requirement of Additional officers as there is considerable increase in number of trainsand Running Staff.

ii) Jhansi Division is facing acute shortage of ALPTS, indent of 467 ALPTs is pending with

RRB/ALD. Presently there is 36% vacancy in Running Cadre as the feeder for the same

is through ALP cadre. Hence the same may be expedite.

iii) The work for construction for new 100 bed running room at Jhansi is under construction.

Same needs to be expedited.

iv) Existing Combined Crew Lobby at PF-No.-2 lacks space. A new Combined Crew Lobby

is required at PF-No.-1
