DESPATCH OF SPRINGS:

Initially springs after manufacture were being collected by Zonal Railways from 1990 to 1998. Transportation Contract for dispatch of springs to various consignees was operated by RSK from July 1998 which continued up to  November 2003 and further from 2008.

RSK has made quality improvements in the Packing of Springs for protecting them. In place of Jute Box Packing, RSK has introduced packing of Springs in  water proof and shock absorbant " Ethelyne Vinyle Acetate" sheet bags which are then placed in side the corrugated carton boxes. This will protect springs from weathering effect and provide cushioning  effect during transportation and handling.  The position of springs despatches made by RSK against Railway Board quota is given in enclosed Annexure.
