Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Handoo

Medical Director Central Hospital

Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Handoo is medical officer of 1993 batch of the Indian Railway Health Services (IRHS). He assumed charge of Medical Director, Central Hospital, North Central Railway on 02 December 2022. Prior to this, he served as Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS), Kanpur during 2022.

Dr. Handoo completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Srinagar (J&K) and pursued post-graduation in Geriatric Medicine (PGDGM) from IGNOU (2011–12).

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a key leadership role as the officer in charge of COVID-related activities at Central Hospital, NCR, Prayagraj, which was designated as a Dedicated COVID Health Centre (Tier-II) for the Prayagraj region, with 100 beds earmarked for COVID patient care.

He is currently undertaking significant administrative responsibilities along with his expertise in patient care at the Central Hospital, North Central Railway, Prayagraj.
