Constitution Day Celebrated at North Central Railway Headquarters
On 26.11.2024 at 11:00 am, “Constitution Day Preamble-Recital Ceremony” was organized at North Central Railway, Headquarters office Prayagraj. Shri Upendra Chandra Joshi, General Manager, North Central Railway, Prayagraj conducted recitation of the Preamble of Constitution to all the officers and employees present on the occasion.
It is known that the Constitution of India became the supreme law of our nation with its adoption by the Constituent Assembly of India on 26 November 1949 and came into effect from 26 January 1950. This document demarcates our basic political system, structure, procedures, powers and duties of government institutions and also prescribes fundamental rights, directive principles and duties of citizens. It is the largest written constitution of any nation in the world and is the backbone of the world's largest democracy. The Constitution, along with declaring India as a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic, assures justice, equality and liberty to the citizens and establishes the feeling of fraternity in the nation.
Principal Chief Personnel Officer Shri Anurag Tripathi, Principal Heads of all departments and other officers and staff of the headquarters were present.
