At present, when we are celebrating this auspicious occasion, we as a part of Indian Railway are gearing up for the most important bathing day of ongoing MahaKumbh at Prayagraj on Mauni Amavasya. This is expected to be largest ever congregation of pilgrims in the world, where visitors are coming from all across the globe. During the Kumbh, NCR is acting as Nodal Railway and committed to resonate with the expectation of all stakeholders of making it to be Divya-Bhavya and Digital Kumbh. Apart from coordinating with civil administration, we are undertaking mammoth operations to make this event a success by transporting pilgrims timely and safely to their destinations. We have made elaborate arrangements like provision of more than 3000 special trains; developing RailKumbh Sewa App, website, multilingual announcement and publicity booklet, commissioning capacity enhancement and passenger amenity works of more than 930 Crores in a very short span; development of second entry, extension and improvement of all the stations of Prayagraj; enhanced lighting arrangements; deployment of additional staff and strengthening security arrangements by increasing CCTV surveillance and round the clock monitoring of passenger rush and other facilities to be provided to our esteemed passengers.
