Sr DCM/Sr DOMs CONFERENCEHELD IN NCR HQ
A conference of Senior Divisional Commercial Managers and Senior Divisional Operations Managers of North Central Railway was held in the Office of GM/NCR in the Arawali Conference Hall, Chaired by General Manager/North Central Railway Shri M.C. Chauhan. Present in the meeting were all the PHODs/CHODs along with Sr. DCMs and Sr. DOMs of the three divisions of NCR i.e. Allahabad, Jhansi and Agra. Punctuality, Cleanliness Catering and freight loading were the main issues discussed during the meeting.
While speaking during the meeting General Manager emphasized on the issue of punctuality and said, “NCR had done well to improve punctuality by 13.1% in the last financial year; further improvement in punctuality could be achieved by a multipronged approach consisting of enhanced operational monitoring, reduction in asset failures, reduction in response time to attend failures. He said that the originating punctuality should be monitored and the trains starting from the zone should start at the right time from originating stations. He also emphasized to prioritize the last mile connectivity infrastructural works, so that the benefits accruing out of these works are visible to public at the earliest.
General Manager discussed about the policy of designating Train Captains being implemented over NCR. He said that this facility will provide a single window for resolving variety passenger’s grievances on board. It was also informed that the discussions with service providers like OLA and UBER for taxi services at major stations of the zone is in final stages and soon this will be available for our esteemed passengers. General Manager also expressed the need to have online feed of CCTVs at stations in the rooms of Sr. DCMs, so that the real time monitoring of cleanliness arrangements and other passenger related facilities be ensured.
General Manager instructed to improve the condition of TTE running rooms and provide the facility of air conditioning there. He said that satisfied staff is the key to ensure satisfied customer. While discussing about the freight loading performance, GM/NCR said, “Railway board has decided an enhanced target of 17 million tonnes for NCR. In order to achieve or surpass this target all out efforts to be made.” He also said that, “along with maintaining the loading from current freight customers, there is a need to tap the potential loading from all possible new customers.
