“Swacchhta Hi Seva” Cleanliness Drive launched over North Central Railway : Oath administered, Awareness Rally and Shramdaan organized

Railway administration has launched a Nationwide Cleanliness drive with “Swacchhta Hi Seva” theme from 15th September to 2nd October, 2018. Several programs have been organized o­n dated 15th September at North Central Railway headquarter office, Subedarganj, Allahabad, under the guidance of Shri Ratan Lal, General Manager, North Central Railway.

Initially the nationwide program was launched by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India in the Morning. Live telecast of his message to the nation wasviewed by General Manager and all the officers and staff in the Vindhya Conference at NCR headquarter office. There after ShriRatan Lal, General Manager, North Central Railway launched the campaign over North Central Railway by administering Swachchta oath to officers and staff.

ShriRatan Lal, also flagged off an awareness rally from NCR headquarter in the morning. Officers, employees and members of Scouts and Guides participated enthusiastically in this rally, raising slogans related to cleanliness and hygiene awareness. During the rally, railway personnel and common people were made aware about cleanliness drive and its importance. This rally started from NCR headquarters office and traversed through Railgaon Railway colony and concluded at Headquarter office.

An intensive cleanliness drive was also carried out at headquarter office and Railgaon Colony. Officers, employees and members of Scouts and Guides participated in this Shramdaan under the active leadership of General Manager. Mr. Ratan Lal, General Manager, North Central Railway, along with all the officials, contributed by cutting wild bush grown in North Central Railway, headquarter.

General Manager, North Central Railway encouraged all the employees to follow a clean and hygienic life style. He also called upon all to make the Indian Railways clean and comfortable for the passengers bybecoming a par of very inspirational Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Shri Devendra Kumar, Chief mechanical Engineer along other PHODs , officers and staff were present o­n the occiassion.

The campaign from 15th September to 2ndOctober is being organised theme-wise over the period, like 16-17 September will be marked as Swachh Samwad,18-19 September as Swachh station, 20-21 September as Swachh railgadi, 22-24 September as Swachh Parisar, 25-26 September as Swachh Aahar, 27-28 September as Swachh Neer, 29th September as Swachh Prasadhan, 30thSeptember as Swachh Pratiyogita.
