SAFETY AWARDS DISTRIBUTED TO RAILWAYMEN WHO HAVE GIVEN EXCEPTIONAL CONTRIBUTION TO SAFETY IN TRAIN OPERATIONS OVER NCR

Today, on 4thApril, GM/NCR, Shri Rajiv Chaudhry felicitated and awarded 25 railway staff who had given outstanding contribution to safety in train operations in the last three months . Those awarded included, Loco Pilots, Assistant Loco Pilots, Pointsmen and Track Maintainers.

GM/NCR praised the award winners for their commitment to safety and their exceptional alertness because of which potential mishaps had been averted. He stressed and underscored that safety was underlying philosophy-the keystone-of all operations on Indian Railways and NCR. He said that the way to ensure safety was to be well conversant with the rules and regulations governing train operations and to desist from adopting shortcuts in the same. The staff were felicitated and awarded in the presence of CSO/NCR, PCEE/NCR and other senior officers. Also present in the award ceremony were all the PHODs/HODs of NCR and the three DRMs of the three Divisions of the NCR, Allahabad, Agra and Jhansi who participated via videoconferencing.
