Conference o­n “Safe Train Operation” in Electrical Branch, HQ/NCR

·10 Loco Pilots felicitated for electrical energy regeneration in 3-phase locomotive

·New Loco Inspector Diary released

A conference for safe train operation was organised in Electrical Branch in headquarter office North Central Railway. HQ & divisional loco operation officer & supervisors were present, in the conference. Various case studies pertaining to safe train operation wwere deliberated upon during the conference. Principal Chief Electrical Engineer/NCR, Sri Nasim Uddin emphasized for safe train operation and said that the running staff plays a very important role in safety. He further advised that all out efforts should be made for safe train operation to achieve “Mission Zero Accident” over NCR during 2019-20.

During the conference, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer Shri Nasim Uddin, distributed the cash award & LED bulbs to 10 Loco Pilots for electrical energy regeneration in 3-phase locomotive.While speaking upon it, he appreciated the efforts of loco pilots & stated that such efforts will continue in future to encourage energy efficient train operation to save Railway revenue & our environment. He further added that Energy Conservation by way of energy regeneration in 3-phase electric locos by the Loco Pilots is a big contribution to Environment conservation. It is worth mentioning that electrical energy regeneration in 3-phase locomotive by Loco Pilots in NCR has always been appreciated. By way of energy regeneration, a record saving of about Rs. 57 crore has been achieved in NCR during 2018-19, which is Highest over Indian Railways.

Principal Chief Electrical Engineer Shri Nasim Uddin also released the new Loco Inspector Diary. While detailing about the diary he stated that new Loco Inspector’s diary will help all the Loco Inspectors for identification of weak areas of their nominated loco crews for giving necessary guidance, suitable direction & taking corrective action for further improvement. It will help loco operation officers also, to assess & review the performance & shortcomings of Loco Inspectors. Loco Inspector diary is a very important tool for Loco Inspectors, where all the requisite and useful information related with Loco Crew are available at a glance for monitoring the overall performance of Loco Crew as well as Loco Inspectors.

Principal Chief Electrical Engineer/NCR also felicitated Shri Kumar Kaushlesh Sharma, Chief Loco Inspector /HQ with cash award in recognition of commendable work while preparing an effective & productive Loco Inspector diary. At the end of meeting, Chief Electrical Locomotive Engineer Shri Anupam Singhal congratulated & thanked to all officers & supervisors for making this conference useful & successful.
