GM/NCR Shri Rajiv Chaudhry  reviews the Fog preparations during Video Conference  with Divisions

A video conference of North Central Railway Headquarters held with Agra, Allahabad and Jhansi divisions. In the beginning of the video conference, General Manager North Central Railway Shri Rajiv Chaudhry along with principal head of departments reviewed the safety position o­n Agra, Allahabad and Jhansi divisions. Shri Chaudhry emphasized that all the safety related rules and guidelines should be strictly followed.
 While talking about important safety items to be checked he said, Bio Toilets are fitted in most of the trains for quite a long time now, so the bio toilet safety strap of bio toilets be properly monitored and in case of any wear etc it should be informed to concern zone and replaced for our own coaches . He also desired that special care should taken for timely identification of Hot Axle cases. He also discussed about trespassing cases and instructed the divisions to identify the locations and make necessary arrangements to prohibit through movement of vehicles including construction of  Cattle Crossings or trenching etc. He also said detailed investigation in all cases of failure and detention are must for system improvement and instructed divisions to ensure it religiously. Shri Chaudhry also instructed to barricade work sites along the track so no unwanted vehicle infringes into the track area.
A detailed discussion of fog safety preparedness was also done during the meeting. While sensitizing all three Divisions he said that foggy season is a war like situation for us and our officers directly connected to train operations should remain very alert during the period. He further added that   winters has already set in and stipulated patrolling of railway tracks should be properly done. He also stressed that requisite uniforms should be distributed to all the trackmen in time and proper maintenance of all the running rooms should also be ensured. He also emphasized o­n the proper visibility of signals, compliance of stipulated winter precautions for locomotives, coaches & wagons, availability of retroreflective boards etc. must be ensured for safe and detention free travel this winter.
Punctuality position prevailing o­n all the divisions of North Central Railway was also reviewed during the meeting. This year punctuality performance of North Central Railway has improved substantially which is higher by 11 percent in first 07 months of financial year 2019-20 when compared to same period of last year. While discussing about the financial performance General manager desired that the all out efforts to increase loading and control revenue expenditure . Shri Chaudhry also discussed  about the implementation of NGT guidelines and said that it is not just our legal duty but also moral responsibility towards society.
