North Central Railway continuing efforts against Covid-19 pandemic o­n all fronts

Country is passing through such an unprecedented and challenging phase that no words, no analogy, no parallel seem apt enough to capture the enormity of the crisis due to Covid-19. However, with relentless and dedicated efforts of close to 60000 Railway Corona warriors North Central railway has adapted itself to current needs and serving our great nation with same fervour and with our hall mark mobility. Since starts of lockdown North Central Railway conquered many adversities and challenges through following notable efforts:

·Special Trains: Of total 230 special trains started by Indian railways, 126 have stoppage over NCR including 02 originating specials. Punctuality in July is 98% plus and 100% punctuality achieved o­n 06 days in July-20.

 

·Freight and Parcel: 35.5 Lakhs tones freight loaded by NCR which includes 19.9 Lakhs tones petroleum & bitumen, 3.8 Lakhs tonnes food grains and 4.9 Lakhs tonnes cement. Average speed of 45.72 Kms achieved during July-2020.

·Parcel: 875 tonnes parcel loaded from 40 notified parcel stations o­n North Central railway including 176 tonnes medical goods.

 

·Isolation Coaches: 130 already converted (Prayagraj -40, Jhansi -20, Agra-20 & Coach Midlife Rehabilitation workshop Jhansi-50) and additional 150 are targeted for conversion based o­n availability of coaches.

·Covid Hospital and Quarantine centers: 100 Beds each Prayagraj and Jhansi level o­ne Covid hospitals are operational now. As o­n 22.07.20 74 Covid positive patients at Central hospital Prayagraj and 51 at Railway hospital are under treatment. For quarantine 651 beds have been made available at different locations over NCR of which 138 beds have been used.

·Coverall, Face cover and Sanitizer in-house production: 8000 Coverall, 1.8 Lakhs reusable face covers and 10200 liters sanitizer produced through in-house efforts.

·1.05 Lakhs downloads of Arogya Setu app o­n NCR by Railway employees and their family members.

 

 

·05 Separate clinics for fever and Covid-19 like symptom screening. 9606 Railway employee and their family members screened so far.
