Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar's 65th “Mahaparinirvan Diwas"
Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (14 April 1891 – 6 December 1956), known as Babasaheb Ambedkar, was a prolific student, eminent jurist, economist, politician and social reformer, who inspired the movement and campaigned against social discrimination.He was independent India's first Minister of Law and Justice, and the chief architect of the Constitution of India.In 1990, the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, was posthumously conferred upon Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Every year death anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar is observed as “Mahaparinirvan Diwas” across the country to pay homage to the great architect of our constitution, who strived for a society and governance based on the tenets of equality and justice.
"Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar's 65th Mahaparinirvan Diwas" was observed on 07.12.2020 at 11.30 am in Aravali Hall of North Central Railway Headquarters. on this occasion, Shri Ranjan Yadav Additional General Manager, North Central Railway, paid tribute to Baba Saheb by garlanding the portrait of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Thereafter Shri. Lalsa Ram, Zonal Secretary, All India SC / ST association, Senior Deputy General Manager Shri Naveen Kumar Sinha, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, Shri Satish Kothari, Principal Chief Safety Officer Shri P. D. Mishra, Principal Chief Medical Director Dr. Anand Tandon and present HODs, officers and employees garlanded the portrait of Babasaheb and paid homage.
