General Manager Shri Vinay Kumar Tripathi reviewed status of Covid-19 on North Central Railway
Preparedness for vaccination of Railway employees below the age of 45 years
All necessary preparations for smooth and quick operation of Oxygen Express and food-graintrains
North Central Railway is taking all necessary measures to maintain safe and smoothtrain operation while protecting its workforce from Covid-19. As a part of this continuous exercise, today on 29.04.2021, General Manager Shri Vinay Kumar Tripathi reviewed status of Covid-19 on NCR with PHODs of NCR and DRMs of Prayagraj, Jhansi and Agra divisions through video conference.
North Central Railway has already vaccinated more than 18000 employees out of a total of 27758 employees above 45 years of age including frontline staff. Of 4195 personnel belonging to Healthcare and Railway Protection Force, 93% have been given both doses of Covid-19 vaccine.General Manager Shri Tripathi stressed on completion of both doses of Covid-19 vaccine for all eligible Railwaymen and women above the age of 45 years and instructed for sending accident relief train (ARME) to expedite the vaccination of the staff working in field and wayside stations as required. Preparedness for vaccination of employees below age of 45 years during the second phase of vaccination was also discussed. General Manager directed to arrange all necessary resources for this on time.
North Central Railway is also playing an important role in Indian Railway’s initiative of ensuring faster availability of oxygen through RO-RO serviceand faster operation of each oxygen express passing through NCR territory is being ensured on green corridor concept. Besides oxygen express, very high priority is also being accorded to movement of food-grain loaded trains.
