North Central Railway is taking all necessary measures to maintain safe and smoothtrain operation while protecting its workforce from Covid-19. As a part of this continuous exercise, today on 03.05.2021, General Manager Shri Vinay Kumar Tripathi reviewed status of Covid-19 on NCR with PHODs of NCRand DRMs of Prayagraj, Jhansi and Agra divisions through video conference.
North Central Railway is playing an important role in Indian Railway’s initiative of ensuring faster availability of liquid medical oxygen through RO-RO and container train service. Besides formation of 04 MBWT (tank wagon) rakes in Jhansi division equipped with 106 wagons being used in the Oxygen Express, North Central Railway is also playing an important role in the fast transport of the empty and loaded rakes of the Oxygen Express. North Central Railway has so far operated 06 empty rakes and 06 loaded rakes for transportation of Liquid Medical Oxygen through RO-RO and container trains.
With continuous monitoring of the three divisions and HQ of the North Central Railway, the Oxygen Express is operating uninterrupted at an average speed of more than 55 Kmphover the North Central Railway territory. So far, 15 liquid medical oxygen loaded tankers and containers have been transported to the National Capital Region through 06 loaded trains.
North Central Railway has intensified the immunization drive of railway employees and their family members above 45 years of age, as well as started the vaccination of eligible railway employees and their family members below 45 years of age inPrayagraj, Agra and Jhansi divisions.
