Recovered COVID patients should not take it lightly – GM/NCR

Recovered COVID patients should not take it lightly – GM/NCR

In his daily review meeting conducted with DRMs Agra, Jhansi, Prayagraj and other senior officers of North Central Railway, GM/NCR Shri V.K. Tripathi emphasized the need for 100% vaccination of Railway staff. He instructed the DRMs and other Principal heads of departments that constant vigil should be made and staff should be motivated to come up for vaccination.

General Manager expressed his concerns over post COVID complications and counselling of staff recovered from COVID not to observe any carelessness and to follow all necessary precautions like social distancing, frequent hand washing and wearing of mask.As informed by Deputy General Manager Shri Mannu Prakash Dubey, till 10/5/21 a total of 2126 staff (along with their families) of NCR has recovered from COVID. General Manager instructed that staff recovered from the infection should not take it for granted now and should continue to use all precautions. He further emphasized that recovered staff needs aggressive counselling that infection from Corona virus doesn’t provide life long immunity and risk of transmission of virus is equally apprehended even after one contracts an infection and recovers. Thus use of mask and maintaining social distancing is a must to all.

General Manager also instructed that all staff should get registered themselves on Cowin app and take earliest available slots available for vaccination.
