Fourth oxygen express reached Kanpur.
Kanpur received 200 MT LMO through trains till date
Indian Railways, in its bid to intensify the ongoing fight against COVID and ensure speedy & unhindered supply of oxygen, ran another oxygen express for Kanpur. The train containing 40 mT of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in two cryogenic containers loaded from Tatanagar by South Eastern Railway reached Kanpur yard atnight 01:29 hrs. It was immediately placed inside the Inland Container Depot for decanting where Dy. CTM Kanpur, NCR Shri Himanshu Upadhyay and Assistant Divisional Mechanical Engineer Vikas Kesari ensured timely offloading.
After completion of decanting, the LMO was delivered to SDM Narvel Shri Amit Kumar and Tehsildar Ghatampur by the siding authorities. At 06:55hrs, train carrying empty containers departed from Kanpur for further loading at Tatanagar.
This is the fourth Oxygen Express for Kanpur ran by Indian Railways in view of serving the needs of COVID patients of the city and adjoining area. Cumulatively, a total of 200 mT of LMO has been delivered to the city by Railways so far.
