280 MT LMO Reached Kanpur through Six oxygen express trains
One more oxygen express train for Kanpur started from Durgapur, expected to reach by late night.
Indian Railways, in its bid to intensify the ongoing fight against COVID and ensure speedy & unhindered supply of oxygen for Kanpur, is continuously runningoxygen express trains. The train containing 40 mT of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in two cryogenic containers loaded from Tatanagar by South Eastern Railway reached Kanpur yard today at04:40hrs. It was immediately placed inside the Inland Container Depot for decanting where Shri Santosh Kumar Tripathi, ACM/Kanpur along withlocal Railway and CONCOR officials ensured timely offloading.
After completion of decanting, the LMO was delivered to Mr Gulab Chandra Tehsildar Ghatampur by the siding authorities. At 09:00hrs, train carrying empty containers departed from Kanpur for further loading at Tatanagar.
Thiswas thesixth Oxygen Express for Kanpur ran by Indian Railways in view of serving the needs of COVID patients of the city and adjoining area. Cumulatively, a total of 280 MT of LMO has been delivered to the city by Railways so far.
One more train carrying 40 MT of LMO has started journey to Kanpur from Durgapur this morning at 11:00 hrs. The train is expected reach late night and has two cryogenic contains loaded over it.
