Top officials of NCR Headquarter and Prayagaraj Division visited Iradatganjstation
GM NCR in his VC on Wednesday instructed officials to to finalize connection with DFC and possibility of longer loop at Iradatganj.
Saturday marked an important day for Iradatganj as top Railway Officers along with DFC officials conducted a joint visit to the station and adjoining area to explore the possibilities of a longer loop and it's connection to DFC.
It is proposed to construct a longer loop at Iradatganj station as trains on DFC will run as long hauls. A longer loop is of double the length of a normal loop line and is used for holding trains for crossings. A stretch of DFC is being constructed from Iradatganj station which will connect New Karchhana station of DFC. Trains coming from Western, Central and West Central Railway from Manikpur side can directly be handed over to DFC via this connection without touching Prayagraj.
GM NCR Shri V.K. Tripathi, has formed a joint team comprising of Chief Passenger Traffic Manager, Chief Traffic Planning Manager, Chief Bridge Engineer, ADRM/infra, Prayagraj to study the technical issues involved in the work such as construction of Road under Bridge in lieu of a level crossing coming in way of proposed alignment of longer loop, land acquisition issues etc and to suggest the measures to get the work done at the earliest.

Sushil Yadav(Chief Engineer), Shri A.K.Mishra(CTPM), Shri Atul Gupta (ADRM/PRYJ), Shri S.K.Shukla(SrDOM/PRYJ), Shri Narendra Singh (Chief Bridge Engineer) and Shri.Rajesh Shrivastav(Sr.Divisional Engineer Prayagraj) reached the site and deliberated upon the issue.
