North Central Railwaycritically reviewed loading performance
virtual meeting with cement, container and Petroleum Oil Lubricant loading customers held
In a virtual meeting with the freight customers, North Central RailwayBusiness Development Unit critically reviewed the loading and earning performance in the first quarter of the financial year.Business Development Unitis all set to conduct commodity wise performance review meetings. In first such meeting of second quarter of this year, cement, container and POL loading parties were invited for discussion and sharing action plan to improve loading.
Principal Chief Operations Manager North Central RailwayShriBiplav Kumar asked the loading parties to complete the remaining infrastructural works at the earliest as they are adversely affecting mobility and loading. Ultratech Bevara informed that by the end of October, all remaining siding works are expected to be completed thus a fillip to cement loading will be achieved.
Principal Chief Commercial Manager Shri MN Ojha said that Railway Board has set a target of around 20 million tonnes loading and an originating freight earning of Rs.1862 crore. In order to achieve this target, all around efforts are needed to be done. Representative from Cement siding Chunar told that works for improving mobility are on full swing and by the end of August, loading of cement from Chunar will gain additional momentum.
It was assured by the North Central Railwaythat best possible assistance from Railways will be provided to the freight customers to augment loading.
The meeting was attended by Shri P.K. Ojha (Chief Freight Transport Manager), Smt Anu Mani Tripathi (Chief Commercial Manager /Freight Marketing), Shri Shashi Bhushan, Dy Chief Operations Manager, Shri Jitendra Kumar (Dy. Chief Commercial Manager) from North Central Railwayheadquarters and SrDCMs and SrDOMs of Agra, Jhansi and Prayagraj Division and DyCTM/Kanpur.
More suchmeetings are planned in coming days with different merchants.
