Fit India Freedom Run 2.0organized in RailgaonColony, Subedarganj

General Manager, North Central Railway and President, North Central Railway Women's Welfare Organization flagged off the race

Today, o­n 19.08.2021, Fit India Freedom Run 2.0was organized at Railgaon Colony of North Central Railway at Subedarganj. The race was flagged off by the Chief Guest of the program Shri Pramod Kumar, General Manager, North Central Railway and Smt. Poonam Kumar, President, North Central Railway Women's Welfare Organization. It is to be known that, the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" being organized to commemorate the 75th Independence Day of the nation, the Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 is being organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India from 13th August to 2nd October 2021 Gandhi Jayant. Ministry of Railways is actively participating in this Fit India campaign.

In this sequence, this race was organized by the North Central Railway Sports Association today. At the outset President/NCRSA and Chief Administrative Officer / Construction Shri Sharad Mehta welcomed the Chief Guest General Manager Shri Pramod Kumar with a bouquet and Smt. Alka Mehta welcomed Smt. Poonam Kumar, President North Central Railway Women's Welfare Organization.

While conducting the program o­n this occasion, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Ankur Chandra apprised that this Fit India Movement was started by Hon'ble Prime Minister in the year 2019on National Sports Day, 29th August.

On this occasion, the General Manager motivated everyone to include fitness in their daily routine and hoped that, if every citizen of India remains fit, then naturally there will be a positive change in behavior.

Under this mission, Fit India Freedom Run-2is being organized at the national level from 13th August to 2nd October 2021Gandhi Jayanti to commemorate the 75th Independence Day Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Its concept is- 'It can be run anywhere, any time', its basic purpose is to take the fitness dosage for half an hour daily and F.I. The theme of this second edition of Freedom Run is "People's movement through public participation". This can be done either through physical or virtual means.

Additional General Manager Shri Ranjan Yadav, other Heads of Departments, officers,  large number of players, Railway Protection Force personnel and employees participated in this program.
