NCR Stepping towards greener energy

A leap towards Mission Net zero carbon emitter by 2030

Shifting of 20pairs of train like Prayagraj-Dr.Ambedkarnagar Agra Fort-Ajmer, Bandra Terminus-Ghazipur, Manikpur-Kanpur, Kanpur-Jhansi etctrains from diesel to Electric will not o­nly reduce carbon footprints but has saved significant revenue for NCR

During the current year(Apri-August 2021), 20pairs of trains i.e. 01801/02, 01813/14, 02924/23, 04195/95, 09041/42, 03167/68, 03423/24, 01067/68, 06359/60, 05231/32, 04317/18, 02547/48, 02247/48, 05073/74/75/76, 04116/15, 09483/84, 09665/66, 01884/83, 04133/34, 04135/36have been taken over o­n Electric Traction between NCR and other zonal Rlys.

This has resulted in reduction in Diesel Under Wire of 5496 kms per day in NCR and 8443 kms per day in other zonal railway amounting to total monetary saving of Rs. 129.85 crores per annum.
