·Rajbhasha competitions held at North Central Railway Headquarter office

As per the instructions of General Manager Shri Pramod Kumar and under the guidance of Chief Rajbhasha Officer Shri AjaiMathur, various competitions and programs are being organized under RajbhashaPakhwada and RajbhashaSaptah organized all over North Central Railway including at NCR headquarter office. During the Pakhwada , Hindi noting and draft writing, Hindi essay, Hindi typing, Hindi shorthand and speech competitions organized in the headquarter office. Employees participated with great enthusiasm in hese competitions. Hindi speech competition o­n the topic of 'Expansion of e-commerce in the country- Opportunities and Challenges' was organized today o­n 21st September. The participating employees threw light o­n the various aspects of rapidly growing e-commerce in the country, including open and hidden agendas, promotional strategies vis a vis traditional business structure, impact o­n important sectors like employment etc.

On this occasion, Chief Rajbhasha Officer and Principal Financial Adviser, Shri AjaiMathur, while guiding the participants said that o­ne of the major objectives of expansion of e-commerce in the country is to reduce the use of cash, so that we can have safe and secure transactions. He said, the use of cash has been completely eliminated in many countries. e-commerce medium has been used very effectively during the Corona pandemic. Shri Mathur informed that during the pandemic, Indian Railways facilitated secure exchange of various vouchers and receipts through technical means. E-commerce is indeed an indicator of our progress and development and it is expected that in the times to come, its shortcomings will be rectified. Chief Public Relations Officer, Dr. Shivam Sharma, who was present as the judge, expressed his views and said that technical terms have a very important place in the use of e-commerce and every person should be well aware of them. Cyber ​​security is a very sensitive aspect related to e-commerce. Expressing his views in the program, the second judge of the competition, Deputy Chief Rajbhasha Officer and Deputy Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer/Finance and Budget Shri Shailendra Kumar Singh said that e-commerce is actually becoming a part of e-literacy. In times of crisis like global pandemic, the utility and significance of e-commerce has increased manifold.

In this competition, KumariKishori, Office Superintendent, Mechanical Department got first position, Shri Vikas Prasad, Traffic Inspector, Operations Department got second place and Shri S.M. Najmi, Sr. Section Engineer/Tel. got third place.

Before the said competition, Hindi essay competition and Hindi noting and drafting competitions were also organized o­n the topic 'Measures to make India a leading nation in sports'. In Hindi noting and drafting competition, Shri Vikas Prasad, Traffic Inspector, Operations Department got first position, Shri Abhay Kumar Sinha, Chief Office Superintendent, Commerce Department got second position and Shri Anirudh Kumar Shukla, Chief Vigilance Inspector, Vigilance Department got third position.

In Hindi essay competition, Shri Ram PraveshSah, Senior Clerk/Confidential, General Administration Department got first position, Shri Vikas Prasad, Traffic Inspector, Operations Department got second position and Shri RadheshyamVerma, Section Engineer/IT got third position.

In Hindi typing competition, Shri Virendra Kumar, Senior Section Officer, Accounts Department got first position, Smt. ShilpiJha, Lady Constable got second position and Shri Santosh Kumar, Junior Accounts Assistant, Accounts Department got third position. All the above mentioned employees will be presented the award by General Manager Shri Pramod Kumar in the main function of RajbhashaPakhwada to be held o­n 29th September.
