Meeting of Hon’ble MPs of Agra Division area with General Manager North Central Railway organised

"Railways is the source of economic prosperity" says Mrs Jaskaur Meena, Hon'ble MP, Dausa

Today o­n 26.11.2021 a meeting of Hon'ble MPs of North Central Railway Agra Division area with General Manager North Central Railway was organized in Agra. In the meeting, Hon'ble MP, Dausa Smt. Jaskaur Meena and Hon’ble MP, Agra Prof. Shri SP Singh Baghel's representative Shri Digambar Singh Dhakre, Hon'ble MP, Mathura Mrs. Hema Malini's representative Shri Janardan Sharma ji, Hon’ble MP, Etawah Prof. (Dr.) Shri Ram Shankar Katheria’s representative Shri Surendra Singh Ji, Hon'ble MP, Alwar Mahant Shri Balak Nath Yogi's representative Shri Sukhwant Singh Ji, Hon'ble MP, Bharatpur Smt. Ranjita Koli's representative Shri Santosh Kumar Ji were present.

In the meeting, Hon'ble MP Dausa Smt. Jaskaur Meena ji was elected as the chairperson of the meeting by the representatives. In the beginning of the meeting, General Manager Shri Pramod Kumar welcomed the MPs and MP Representatives. After this, the Preamble of constitution was recited by all the Hon’ble MPs, representatives and officers present o­n the occasion of Constitution Day.

After that, General Manager Shri Pramod Kumar in his welcome address said that direct dialogue and exchange of ideas with Hon’ble public representatives helps in fulfilling the expectations of the citizens. Informing about the achievements of North Central Railway, the General Manager said that North Central Railway is using such a technology for constructing underpasses that there will be no problem water-logging. The General Manager said that due to the persistent efforts of our diligent railwaymen/officers, during the financial year 2021-22 till the month of October, our passenger earnings is Rs 156.60 crores, which is 509.45% more than last year in the same period, in the year 2021-22. Other coaching income through parcel, luggage, ticket checking is Rs 16.99 crore, which is 414% higher than last year. Along with this, the total income of Agra division till the month of October of the year 2021-22 is Rs. 493.94 crores which is 24.91% more than last year in this period. The General Manager informed that in the year 2020-21, 15 RUB and 01 ROB and in the year 2021-22 so far 05RUBs have been constructed in Agra division. He informed that the construction of fourth line in Hodal-Kosikalan-Chhata section has been completed and toilets and ramps have been made for the differently-abled at all the stations of the division.

After the address of the General Manager, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shri Aman Verma apprised the Hon'ble MPs about the achievements and development works of Agra Division through power point presentation.

After this, the Hon'ble MP, Dausa present in the meeting, Mrs. Jaskaur Meena ji also placed demands related to her area, as well as she congratulated the General Manager North Central Railway for the commendable work done during Covid-19pandemic. She also thanked for organizing the meeting to resolve the issues related to railways. She demanded for stoppage of train number 02923/02924 Agra Fort-Ajmer Express at Mahua Mandavar Road railway station, & extension of train number 01912/01911 Idgah-Bandikui passenger to Jaipur along with other passenger facilities.

The representatives of Hon’ble MPs discussed the demands and suggestions related to their respective areas with the officers present. The representative of Hon’ble MP, Mathura demanded a Tourist Facilitation Center at the second entrance of Mathura

Hon’ble MP, Agra Prof. SP Singh Baghel's representative Shri Digambar Singh Dhakre ji drew attention to several demands including the demand for more trains to stop at Tundla station. After this, other MP representatives also put forth demands related to their respective areas.

On this occasion, Principal Chief Commercial Manager Shri M.Nojha, Principal Chief Engineer Shri Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Chief Administrative Officer/Construction Shri Sharad Mehta, Principal Chief Operations Manager Shri Biplav Kumar, Principal Chief Security Commissioner Shri Ravinder Singh, Chief Public Relations Officer Dr. Shivam Sharma and Additional Divisional Railway Manager/Cir. Agra Shri Mudit Chandra and branch officers of the division were present.

The meeting was conducted by Deputy General Manager/General, North Central Railway Shri Mannu Prakash Dubey and vote of thanks was proposed by Divisional Railway Manager of Agra Division Shri Anand Swarup. The meeting was organized and concluded in a very cordial environment.
