Inauguration of a new 3phase loco simulator for training of loco pilots
Today on 29.03.2022General Manager North Central Railway Shri Pramod Kumar conducted window trailing inspection of Prayagraj-Kanpur section. It is to be stated that Window Trailing Inspection is a special inspection in Indian Railways, in which the track and its surrounding installations such as signal OHE platform, and upcoming works and safety related equipment are inspected from the moving train.
During today's inspection, important parameters like cleanliness and overall condition of enroute stations especially train riding quality at points and crossings, improvement in Track Geometry Index, OHE status, condition of level crossing gates etc. were viewed by General Manager, North Central Railways.Apart from this, the General Manager also took stock of the progress of ongoing various capacity enhancement and infrastructure works in Prayagraj-Kanpur section i.e. one of the busiest sections of Indian Railways.
General Manager also inspected the Multidisciplinary Divisional Training Institute, Kanpur. During this, the General Manager visited the model room, class room etc.. Along with that, the General Manager also took feedback from the Loco Pilots and Assistant Loco Pilots undertaking training in the Training Institute. He also had lunch with the trainees in the canteen of Electric Training Center (ETC) Kanpur and checked the food quality.
Further in the inspection, General Manager visited Electric Loco Shed Kanpur, where he saw workshop, canteen, etc.. Senior Divisional Electricity Engineer/RS Shri Pradeep Sharma made a power point presentation to apprise the General Manager about the achievements of Electric Loco Shed Kanpur.
General Manager North Central Railway, Shri Pramod Kumar while addressing the officers said that the modern locos have changed in comparison to earlier ones and thus the shortcomings in them are also changing. Among all the assets, Loco gets the highest attention. All safety points must be properly attended during the maintenance process. He expressed happiness over the achievements of Electric Loco Shed.
Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer/Operation Shri Rahul Tripathi also gave a power point presentation on Trip Shed, Kanpur.
A new 3 phase loco simulator for training of loco pilots was inaugurated by the General Manager at MDDTI Kanpur on the occasion and tree plantation was also done at Electric Loco Shed Kanpur.
The General Manager congratulated for installation of this loco simulator and expressed hope that better training and compliance of rail safety norms would be ensured by the use of this simulator.
