Workshop on Accrual Accounting System organised
A workshop on trial run of transaction-based Accrual Accounting System linked into IPAS has been organized on 02.12.2022 chaired by Shri Yogesh Kumar Srivastava PFA/NCR in which officers and staff from all accounting units of North Central Railway and CORE have participated.
This workshop was organized in association with Accounting Reforms team from Railway Board and ICAI-ARF team. Shri Shailendra Kumar Singh, Dy FA&CAO/F&B welcomed all participants of the workshop. Shri Hamim Ahmed, FA&CAO/F&B, delivered the keynote address mentioning the three components of Accounting Reforms Project as Accrual Account, Performance Costing and Outcome Budgeting. He also talked about importance and achievements of the project this date. FA&CAO/WST Shri Aditya Joshi spoke about the relevance of Accrual Based Financial Statements prepared on commercial principles. He also emphasized on need to associate our Statutory Auditor with this project. He encouraged all participants to get familiarize with this new system. Dy. CPM/AR Shri Amit Goyal and his team talked about the technical aspects of transaction-based accrual accounting system and its integration into IPAS.
