Blood Donation Camp was Organized today on 19-09-2023 at Central Hospital /North Central Railway/Prayagraj
On 19.09.2023 Blood Donation Camp organized at Central Hospital /North Central Railway/Prayagraj in coordination with AMA Blood Centre Prayagraj.
Principal Chief Medical Director, North Central Railway/Prayagraj Dr. J. P. Rawat inaugurated the function. In his address PCMD Dr J. P. Rawat emphasized the importance of blood donation stating that it benefits four needy patients from one donor. The PRBC used for anemia patients, whole blood in case of blood loss due to trauma etc, platelet concentration in case of thrombocytopenia and FFPS for patients with clotting factor requirements.
He also stated that the donor after donating blood feels mentally and psychologically satisfied that he has contributed towards the cause of humanity.
MD/Central Hospital/North Central Railway Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Handoo, ACDS Dr. Manjulata Handoo and ACHD Dr. Gautam Sen were among the first three doctor donor’s to donate blood. It was a unique opportunity for the donors to donate blood to save a life. In this camp total 49 donors donated their blood.
Speaking on the occasion, one of the donors said, “It gives us immense contentment to be able to contribute towards our community by way of donating blood for the needy patients. After donating the Blood, the Donors were given refreshment and an appreciation certificate by MD/Central Hospital/North Central Railway Dr. S. K. Handoo. Lot of efforts for making this camp a success were put in by Dr. Usha S P Yadav ACHD/Microbiology, Mr David Navin Tewari, Mr Jitendra Verma, Mr Ratan Mishra,Mr Vasudeo Pandey and the team of Central Hospital North Central Railway Prayagraj.
This camp helped railway employees in getting awareness about their social responsibilities and showed enthusiastic participation for the same. “Someone lives when someone donates. Sympathy alone cannot save people in chronic conditions, but blood can. A unit of blood donated is a life saved, and this was the stronghold that guided our employees into an impressive turnout for the cause” said Dr. Usha S. P. Yadav ACHD/Microbiology.
Mr Vasudeo Pandey along with other volunteers has contributed immensely in this blood donation camp.
In the functions ACMS/ North Central Railway Dr. Reena Agarwal, Sr. DMO Dr. S. S. Nayak, and All Doctors and staff of Central Hospital North Central Railway Prayagraj were present.
