General Manager, North Central Railway felicitates officers & staff for their commendablecontribution in Scarp Disposal

Scrap disposal is thrust area for Indian Railway. North central railway is spearheading in revenue generation through disposal of unserviceable scrap items. NCR has earned revenue of Rs. 213.33 Crores through scrap sale in 2018-19, which is not o­nly highest in last 04 years but also surpassing the sales target of Rs. 205 Crores given by Railway Board.   

Sri Rajiv Chaudhry, General Manager, North Central Railway awarded 24 officers, staff and supervisors from  all the three divisions of NCR, workshops & headquarter for their commendablecontribution in the field of scrap mobilisation, verification and sales and congratulated all awardees mainly from Engineering, Mechanical, Stores and Accounts departments of NCR. 

On this occasion Shri P.N.Pandey Principal Chief Materials Manager, Shri Ajay Mathur, Principal Financial Advisor, Shri A.K.Pandey, Chief Track Engineer and other Principal Head of Departments of NCR were present along with the Divisional Railway Managers and officers of all the three divisions who were also connected through video conference.   Further during weekly review meeting important issues o­n safety, punctuality and infrastructure development were discussed. Sri Chaudhry GM/NCR directed that mobile app which is under development by IT cell of NCR for sharing of important information related to safety and awareness drives needs to be developed early.   

Once launched this app will be a single source of information o­n safety related items to Rly employees and awareness portal for public.
