In the wake of COVID-19, Cancellation of all passenger train services on Indian Railways till 3rd May, 2020
Guidelines regarding Demurrage,Wharfage etc. for the period of 22.03.2020 to 03.05.2020
1.In continuation of the measures taken in the wake of COVID-19 , it has been decided by Railway Board that the cancellation of all passenger train services on Indian Railways that is , all Mail/Express (including premium trains), passenger trains ,suburban trains and trains of Metro Railway , Kolkata shall be extended till 3rd May, 2020. For the cancelled trains, full refund of fares shall be arranged to the passengers.
2.Resumption of train services as may be warranted in consideration of public safety, keeping in view the emergent situation, shall be announced in due course by Railway Board.
3.No advance reservation shall be done until further advice from Railway Board.
4.Freight and parcel operations shall continue, as at present.
5.It has been further decided by Railway Board that period from 22.03.20 to 03.05.20 shall be treated under force majeure and none of the following mentioned charges shall arise for this period :

2. | Wharfage |
3. | Stacking |
4. | Stabling, Demurrage in case of privately/jointly owned stock |
5. | Demurrage on parcel traffic |
6. | Wharfage on parcel traffic |
7. | Detention Charge in case of container traffic |
8. | Ground Usage Charge in case of container traffic |
