Three terminating and 16 passing through Shramik special Trains handled by NCR.Approximately 3600 stranded persons brought to Agra and Kanpur
All other passenger and suburban trains remain suspended till 17.05.2020, therefore, NO onE should come to Railway Station
Detailed guidelines for operation of Sharamik Special Trains issued by Railway Board
Regular passenger train operations are completely suspended till 17.05.2020 however only on REQUEST of STATE GOVERNMENTS few Special trains are being run for migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons stranded at different places.
Railway is onLY accepting passengers BROUGHT and FACILITATED by State Governments. No other group of traveller or individual are allowed to come to station. No tickets are being sold at any station. Railways are not running any train other than being requisitioned by State Governments.
Accordingly,16 passing through and 03 terminating Sharamik special trains have been handled so far on North Central Railway territory. Approximately 3600 passengers ferried to Agra and Kanpur in 03 terminating Sharamik special trains and all passengers were received by concerned stategovrnment officials following social distancing , thermal scanning and other stipulated norms at respective stations . Meanwhile railway board has issued detailed guidelines for operation of Sharamik Special trains to Zonal Railway for safe , efficient , punctual and trouble free handling of these trains .
Detailed guideline issued on 04.05.20 covers operation of these trains including handling of exigencies, protocol to be followed at originating and destination stations, guidelines for onboard activities in these trains and enhanced security arrangements required to be followed for these trains.
Comprehensive guidelines issued by Railway board also covers protocol to safeguard Railway staff against Covid-19 infection through use of requisitePPEs ,adequate counselling of staff on Covid-19 related precaution, formation of backup team etc.Courteous interaction and handling of stranded persons travelling through these special trains has also been emphasised in the issued guidelines .
