Elaborate arrangements helped North Central Railway in efficient handling of AC special trains
More than 50 incoming Shramik special handled so for on North Central Railway ferrying approximately 63000 migrants back home.
In line with guidelines issued from Ministry of Railways and Ministry of Home affairs, elaborate arrangement are made by North Central Railway to handle special trains commenced from 12.05.2020. Besides making all arrangements as laid down in the guidelines for handling of these trains at enroute stations, Sr Railway officers were also present atPrayagraj Jn. , Kanpur and Jhansi stations to ensure hassle free travel experience to passengers and to maintain close liaison with state officials . All incoming and boarding passengers were greeted and welcomed with clapping at all stations. Special arrangements like complimentary sanitiser bottle was arranged Prayagraj Jn. for passengers boarding these special trains. This was in addition to soap and sanitiser provided in coaches and at the stations.These special trains have so far catered following number of passengers boarding and deboarding at PrayagrajJn, Kanpur and Jhansi stations of NCR:

As on 13th May 2020, a total of 63051 migrants have been safely brought in at different stations on NCR in 51 terminating and one passing train with multiple stoppage. These 51 trains were terminated at various stations of North Central Railway like Sonbhadra( 01 train) , Prayagraj Jn.(17 trains) , Fatehpur(02 trains) ,Eath (01 train) , Etwah( 01 train) Aligarh(02 train) , Kanpur(07 trains) , Agra Cantt.(04 trains), Gwalior(07 trains) , Orai(03 trains) , Banda(02 train) ,Chattarpur(04 trains)
These trains have ferried migrants from cities like Sabarmati , Surat , Ahemdabad ,Palanpur , Godhra ,Viramgam ,Mehsana , Morabi , Navsari ,Dahod, Vadodara , Bhavnagar , Surendranagar , Kanhangad ,Kurnool , Ankleshwar ,Bengaluru , Pune ,New Delhi , Rewadi , Ludhiana , Thivim, Narnul , etc.
Beside more than 50 incoming trains,five outgoing trains from Jhansi to Gorakhpur( 03 trains ) and one each from Agra Cantt to Barauni&Aligarh to PurneaJnhave been operated clearing about 5429 stranded persons .
