Indian Railways green lights phased re-opening of reservation counters.
Limited PRS counters shall start functioning from 22.05.20 all over North Central Railway and shall be increased gradually to Normal Level of pre lockdown
All modes of reservations shall be functional from 22.05.20 as it was before lockdown including common service centers and authorized ticket agents
Indian Railways is going to open reservation counters for booking of reserved tickets in a phased manner from 22.05.20.
North Central Railway has decided to open limited PRS counters over its territory tomorrow and shall be increased to normal level that of prior to lockdown in gradual manner. on 22.05.20 counters will open at 10 hrs and shall be opened as per normal timings from 23.05.20.
It is also notified that common service centers, authorized ticketing agents and all other legal means of reservations also authorized to function w.e.f .22.05.20
This move is going to benefit all those persons who have been waiting to travel through trains for a long time but were unable to travel due to lock down. It may be recalled that Indian Railways has announced 200 new Time tabled trains that would be run from 1st June 2020.
Opening of booking centers will mark an important step in graded restorationof passenger railway services and making the task of ticket booking easy for all prospective travelers from all parts of India.
Passengers are requested to mandatorily wear face cover/ mask and follow standard social distancing norms at all PRS counters to stop spread of COVID-19.
