Reason for drop in passenger traffic:

ØDue to General elections this year in April and May, the movement of passengers has been limited, causing drop in number of passengers.

ØCancellation, short termination, origin change of trains due to bad weather, maintenance blocks, accidents, etc. affected movement of trains, leading to decrease in passenger traffic.

ØExcessive rains/ flood and bad weather this year (after monsoon and extreme winters) led to less movement of passengers.
