ELECTRICAL (OPERATION)

§ORGANIZATION & JURISDICTION

The Electrical Operation Branch (OP) of Jhansi division is responsible for following functions

i)Management of AC Locomotives on line.

ii)        Management of running staff in electrified section, including their training etc.

iii)       Cadre control of all loco running staff, including Diesel trained running staff & supervisors.

iv)      Management of Running Room infrastructure facilities at Jhansi.

 HIGHLIGHTS/ACHIEVEMENTS 2019-2020

1.

In March 2019 Model Running Room Jhansi with 64 bed capacity was commissioned. This running room will help in reducing the congestion of old running room.

2.

In the year 2019 Driver observation Register (“DOR”) online reporting and compliance has been started at Jhansi lobby. This will help in rectifying the abnormalities at the earliest. This software will also help in getting the compliance from other division immediately.

3.

During this year, 200 LP & 261 ALP were targeted from DSL to AC conversion. Conversion of 78 (28 LP, 50 ALP) has been completed till date.

4.

During the year 2019-20 (upto JAN) energy regeneration by three phase loco a total of 34979066 Units have been regenerated which saved 18,18,91,143/-Rs. whereas during 2018-19(upto JAN), 28495179 Units and 17,09,71,074 Rs/- were saved. This is 23% more as compare to the last year.

During the year 219 staff grievances were received out of which 205 grievances were resolved. Remaining grievance will be resolved within 02 months.  

6.

Total 17 electric loco stalling case in year 2019-20 as compared to 24 in 2018-19. This is 29% improvement as compare to the last year.

7.

03 Running Staff Family Seminar was organized during the year for Quality Rest & other running staff related problems.

8.

Total 16 Crack, 05 (03 Pragati, 02 U-Link), 58 Rocket, 99 Long haul, 119 Python trains were operated, which has resulted into saving of crew.

 9.

 Speed Analysis of 2145 trains were done during the year for safe train operation.

10.

 In 2019-20, 436 CUG calls analysis were done. 41 staff were taken up under DAR.

11.

Total 11 Yoga camps were organized during the year.

12.

In Jhansi running room software “Computerized Running Room Management System” has been introduced which is helping in maintaining quality rest and other running room facilities given to running staff.

13.

IPAMS new APP for CLI’s monitoring, counseling and all other information related to running staff has been introduced. This APP is having the new features of monitoring CLIs and Crew working performance.

14.

Family Helpline number (9794847164) for Running Staff has been started round the clock, which is helpful in communicating any emergency help/message to staff. Total 337 messages have been received during this year and all cases have been resolved.

§MAJOR WORKS TO BE CARRIED OUT  IN NEAR FUTURE

 

1.

Provision of additional rooms in Model Running Room Jhansi for Running staff.

2.

Shifting of Lobby at platform no 1. estimate from operation branch is given to Engineering. department for further process.

3.

Conversion of 172 LP & 211 ALP is targeted from DSL traction  to AC traction.


§IMPORTANT ISSUES REQUIRING ATTENTION & ASSISTANCE REQUIRED

 

There are 1440 vacancies (i.e.39%) in different categories in Running Cadre. ALP is the feeding cadre for all the categories. To reduce this gap, indent of 401 ALP (indent no 18/JHS/026 date 16.02.18) and 125 departmental ALP (dated 18.09.2019) has been sent to RRB & PCPO/NCR is still pending.
