4.INITIATIVES TO BOOST GOODS TRAFFIC
·Loading of Fly Ash has started from LPGU, UDPR. 10 rakes have been loaded till now and more traffic is expected in due course.
·Tikamgarh station has been opened for public goods loading w.e.f. 21.09.20. Loading has been started from 10.01.2021. Till date, 3 full rakes and 5 mini rakes of wheat have been loaded. Traffic is further likely to be increased.
·Ballast siding of Bhimsen station has been opened for public goods loading w.e.f. 21.09.20. A party A V Oilchem is being persuaded to load cargo from BZM.
·STS Proposal of GMR for loading of Ballast from KBR has been approved by HQ. Party has proposed to load 3 lac tonne of ballast. Party has already started loading from division. Execution of agreement is under process.
·5 STS agreements have been signed in the division which will fetch an additional traffic.
·Regular virtual meetings and site visits are being conducted by Business Development Unit with freight customers and loading/Handling contractors.
·Freight customers are being assisted with latest policies via pamphlets and dedicated helpline numbers.
·Two rakes of sand have been loaded from Banda and Khairar on 28.12.2020 and 07.01.2021 resp. More traffic is expected in due course.
·Proposal for opening of Bhind station for outward Goods traffic has been sent to Hq. Traffic of sand and ballast is likely to be fetched at the station.
·Co-user permission to M/s Ashtech has been granted with LPGU siding for the period of 18.01.2021 to 17.01.2022.

ACTION PLAN FOR PARCEL TRAFFIC
·Recently a new feature i.e. 139/6 in RAILMADAD has been introduced under parcel and freight facilitation, 305 parcel queries (till 05.02.2021) have been answered and resolved appropriately through this feature so far.
·At present, five compartments of three SLRs are leased out in train no.- 11124, 11106 and 12176 respectively. Due to COVID-19, these trains are not operational. Apart from traditional loading of non-leased parcel traffic an effort has been made through inviting quotation for DAY to DAY lease in train no. 04185 GWL-BJU festival spl. which fetched revenue Rs. 10,19,960/- (upto 09.02.2021) which is continued.
·Due to COVID-19, running of total eighteen pairs of parcel special trains over JHS Div., out of which three pairs are running presently for transportation of goods.
·Stoppage of train no - 08238 ASR-KRBA spl (tri-weekly) at MRA station increased from 02” to 05” w.e.f. 08.11.2020 to gain additional parcel traffic from MRA to BSP, DURG, R etc. and fetched revenue Rs. 55930/- (upto 05.02.2021) which is continued.
·Notification to invite Tender for parcel leasing was published on dt. 20.08.2019 for 92 SLRs in 36 trains, out of which 01 SLR was leased out ; no offer was received for remaining trains as such as and when normal passenger train service re-stored the same will be published in coming months till then for special train offer for DAY to DAY lease will be invited.

Terminal Management System has been provided at 20 locations. E-payment facility has been granted to 3 parties and the same is under consideration for one more customer (FCI MP Region).
In Jhansi, one in-motion weigh bridge (NRD-1) is installed and has been integrated with FOIS.
9.MAJOR PARCEL HANDLING POINTS:
Jhansi and Gwalior are the two major parcel handling points on Jhansi Division. Parcel Management System has been installed at Jhansi on Jan-15 & Gwalior on Feb-15.

TICKET CHECKING:
A big ticket checking establishment exists in the division with maximum staff posted at Jhansi. Trains originating/passing through the division are manned from 4 bases namely Jhansi, Gwalior, Banda and Lalitpur. Most of the trains are manned from Jhansi base between Jhansi-NZM/NDLS, Jhansi-Itarsi, Jhansi-Kanpur and Jhansi - Banda/Allahabad. The staff are divided in to two segments namely amenity (train manning) and productive sides. Railway Magistrates are located at Jhansi, Gwalior and Banda to assist in ticket checking activities.
11.PASSENGER FACILITATION CENTRE:
Passenger Facilitation Centers are provided – one each - at Jhansi and Gwalior stations of the division to ensure availability of all necessary information and facilities to passengers under one roof. These Facilitation Centers are manned by a team of staff led by Dy.SM(Comml). Dy SM (C) at JHS and GWL and on duty SM at BNDA and MRA, have been nominated as disability inspectors also.
12.EDR FEEDING:
EDR feeding is done through separate terminals in CTI office at Gwalior and Banda.
13.STATION OUTSTANDING:
Station outstanding has been Rs 5.52 crore as on Dec-2020. Efforts are being made to minimize the same.
14.SANITATION & CLEANLINESS:
Comprehensive mechanized cleaning contracts are functioning at Jhansi, Gwalior, Banda, Morena, Lalitpur, Orai, Chitkoot Dhamkarwi, Mahoba and Khajuraho stations.
Pay & Use toilets:
·NIT for Pay & Use toilets at five stations have been uploaded and will be opened in March-2021; Jhansi (01.03.2021), Gwalior (04.03.2021), Morena (10.03.2021), CKTD (19.03.2021), Banda (22.03.2021).
·Floating of tender for Mauranipur is under process.
Deluxe toilets are functioning at Jhansi (20.12.2010 to 19.12.2025) and Gwalior (16.03.2011 to 15.03.2026) stations. While Jhansi has one such toilet, Gwalior has two i.e. one each at the East and West sides.
Imprest has been provided at Jhansi, Gwalior and Khajuraho stations for organizing cleanliness work.
15.CASH REMITTANCE IN BANK:
Cash of 118 stations and NRH PRS is being remitted in the Bank under cash pick up scheme. Amendment in the MOU has been implemented and payments are being made at division level. Bill payment processing of Jhansi division has been completed till March 2020, no further bills are on hand as on date.
Important works undertaken by the Publicity Section of Commercial Department in Jhansi Division for the financial year 2020-21 up to November 2020
1.Work done under NINFRIS policy
·Bag Sanitizing machines have been setup at Jhansi and Gwalior (24.08.2020 to 23.08.2021) railway stations for one year and LOA has been issued for other stations i.e. BNDA, LAR and CKTD. Revenue of Rs. 650000/- annually will be generated by this.
·Covid precaution kiosks (automatic dispensary for selling mask, gloves, sanitizer) have been setup at Jhansi (27.08.2020 to 26.08.2021) and Gwalior (12.01.2021 to 11.01.2022) stations for one year. Revenue of Rs. 24000/- annually will be generated by this.
·Blanket, pillow, bed sheet and other COVID prevented items will be provided to passengers on nominal charges. LOA for the setup of Disposable Bedroll and Covid related items kiosk for one year has been issued for JHS, GWL, MRA, CKTD, KURJ and LAR railway station. This will generate revenue of Rs. 4.30 Lakh annually. Work started at Jhansi station w.e.f. 28.12.2020 which will be valid upto 27.12.2021.
·LOA for set up of Health checkup kiosk at JHS and GWL railway stations for one year has been issued. This will generate revenue of Rs. 2.58 Lakh annually. Passengers would get benefit of diagnosis of blood report, sugar and other checkup at railway station on paid basis.
2.Work done under OOH (Out of home) policy.
·Publicity contract of Jhansi Zone-A has been commenced for 05 years from 03.09.2020 to 02.09.2025. This will generate revenue of Rs. 2505786/-.
·Publicity contract of Jhansi Zone-C has been commenced for 05 years from 02.07.2020 to 01.07.2025. This will generate revenue of Rs. 3005786/-.
MISCELLANEOUS WORK
·GWL-HWH Chambal Express, GWL-BLP Susashan Express & GWL-PUNE Express started with modern LHB coaches.
·Platform No. 2 of Mauranipur Railway Station opened for passenger traffic w.e.f. 04.11.2020.
·Additional cover sheds have been provided at Morena, Sonagir, Dabra and Datia stations.
·Replacement of Coach & Train Display board at JHS, MRA, ORAI and BNDA station has been sanctioned.
