Reason for drop in passenger traffic:
ØDue to General elections this year in April and May, the movement of passengers has been limited, causing drop in number of passengers.
ØCancellation, short termination, origin change of trains due to bad weather, maintenance blocks, accidents, etc. affected movement of trains, leading to decrease in passenger traffic.
ØExcessive rains/ flood and bad weather this year (after monsoon and extreme winters) led to less movement of passengers.

ØCoaches have been augmented (by 1 GSCN each) in 4 pairs of passenger trains (59821/22 BIX-KOTA, 59823/24 GWL-BIX, 59825/26 GWL-BIX, 59827/28 BIX-ETW) w.e.f. 07.10.19, which will enhance non PRS passenger traffic.
ØPPM has been strengthened by demanding additional coaches for those trains having utilisation more than 100% i.e. 11107 Bundelkhand (IIIrd AC), 12447 (IIIrd AC).
ØAllotment of new STBA has been expedited. STBA at 19 stations is under process, of which 14 are old (renewal) and 5 are fresh stations.
Ø12 new ATVM Facilitators have been appointed (upto 31.03.2020). This will help in augmenting ticketing facility at stations where ATVMs are available.
ØStations have been instructed to ensure renewal/ sale of season tickets in time.
ØBooking supervisors have been instructed to ensure opening of maximum booking counters by optimal utilization of their staff strength. Supervisors are also being instructed to open Booking windows whenever needed.
ØDuring mela period or rush time special trains will be provided, stoppage of important trains will be given to the stations. Apart from that extra booking windows will be opened by arranging extra commercial clerks.
ØSr DOM has been requested to get maintained the punctuality of trains to regain the traffic which have already been diverted to Roadways due to late running.
ØDuring rush period special drives and surprise checks are arranged to ensure timely opening of windows.
ØAt important stations like Jhansi and Gwalior queue length and availability of staffs at their seats are being monitored with CCTV and this will be strengthen more in future.
ØTo plug the leakage of Railway revenue and to increase the number of passengers, the sections and trains prone to ticketless travelling are being identified periodically and plan is chalked out to intensify ticket checking in those sections and trains.
ØTicket checking is being strengthened by deploying Commercial inspectors also. Monitoring at officers level is being done at important stations like Jhansi . Gwalior , Morena , Lalitpur , Banda etc.
ØWe are also emphasizing on to increase the level of comfort to the rail users by enhancing amenities not only in trains but also at stations. Feedback mechanism is being strengthened and timely action is being ensured.

a.Parking:
1.GWL (E) Premium Car Parking, KURJ, MRA (W) , DAA (E) are already existing parking contracts for the period of 03 years.
2.GWL (E), GWL (W) Parking contract is awarded on 09.12.2019 for 05 years .
3.BANDA Parking contract is awarded on 30.01.2020 for 05 years .
4.MBA , ORAI Parking contract is awarded on 21.10.2019 for 03 years.
5.LAR Parking contract is awarded on 30.01.2020 for 03 years .
6.MBA , ORAI ,LAR Parking contract is awarded for 03 years.

b.Catering:
ØRs. 4.07 crore have been collected as license fees up to January, 2019.
ØFurther license fees collection to the tune of Rs. 1.91 Crore due from new catering units allotted at JHS station is tentative for F.Y. 2019-20.
ØRenewal of 11 sole-licensees at D & E category stations has been completed with earnings of Rs. 7,76,276/- in the form of license fees.
ØLicense fees of Rs. 96,000/- in lieu of Platform Vending permission has been received.
ØTenders for 10 GMUs at Gwalior station have been opened on 02.04.2019 and offers for 2 units have been received. One LOA has been issued with license fees of Rs. 13,20,210/-.
ØTenders for 71 GMU Catering Units at A1, A & B category stations have been opened on 19.07.2019 in which offers for JHS, GWL, BNDA, LAR each have been received with minimum expected earning of Rs. 51,83,572/-.
ØTenders for 33 SMU Catering Units at A1, A & B category stations have been opened on 09.09.2019 in which 04 offers for JHS-2, GWL, ORAI were received. Two LOA have been issued with licensee fees of Rs. 59,37,755/-.
ØTenders for 48 GMU Catering Units at A1, A & B category stations have been opened on 25.09.2019 in which 02 offers for GWL & MBA each have been received with minimum expected earnings of Rs. 24,27,010/-.
ØTenders for 63 GMU catering units at A1, A & B category stations have been opened on 23.12.2019 in which 05 offers for JHS, GWL, ORAI-2, MRA have been received with minimum expected earnings of Rs. 62,86,372/-.
ØTenders for 61 GMUs at D & E category stations will be opened on 28.02.2020.

Terminal Management System has been provided at 20 locations. E-payment facility has been granted to 3 parties and the same is under consideration for one more customer (FCI MP region).
Two in-motion weigh bridge (NRD-1) has been installed in Jhansi Yard and Khairar.
6.Major Parcel Handling Points:
Jhansi and Gwalior are the two major parcel handling points on Jhansi Division. Presently, 05 SLRS of trains have been leased out to customers.
Parcel Management System has been installed at Jhansi on Jan-15 & Gwalior on Feb-15. Parcel Management System for Six Stations will be proposed in 2nd Phase.

8.Ticket Checking:
A big ticket checking establishment exists in the division with maximum staff posted at Jhansi. Trains originating/passing through the division are manned from 4 bases namely Jhansi, Gwalior, Banda and Lalitpur. Most of the trains are manned from Jhansi base between Jhansi-NZM/NDLS, Jhansi-Itarsi, Jhansi-Kanpur and Jhansi - Banda/Allahabad. The staff are divided in to two segments namely amenity (train manning) and productive sides. Railway Magistrates located at Jhansi, Gwalior and Banda assist in ticket checking activities.

Note:-
ØHousekeeping contract is awarded for TTEs running room BNDA for period 13-02-2018 to 12-2-2021.
ØHousekeeping contract is awarded for TTEs running room KURJ for 3 years.
ØHousekeeping contract is awarded for TTEs running room JHS for period 16-01-2020 to 15-12-2022.
ØResting facilities for TTEs has been provided at GWL station presently by managing in the retiring room, new building is under construction.
ØMaintenance and cleaning are being regularly monitored by CTI running room.
ØTea, Break Fast, Lunch & Dinner also available in TTEs running rooms in JHS, BNDA and KURJ on cash payment basis.
ØImprovements are done of TTEs running rooms at NZM and NDLS after regular inspections of commercial officers.
ØSoft upgrade has been done in all TTEs running rooms managed by division.
9.Passenger Facilitation Centre:
Passenger Facilitation Centers are provided – one each - at Jhansi and Gwalior stations of the division to ensure availability of all necessary information and facilities to passengers under one roof. These Facilitation Centers are manned by a team of staff led by Dy.SM(Comml). Dy SM (C) at JHS and GWL and on duty SM at BNDA and MRA, have been nominated as disability inspectors also.
10.EDR Feeding:
EDR feeding is done through separate terminals in CTI office at Gwalior and Banda. At Jhansi, this work is being done through PRS.
11.Station Outstanding:
Station outstanding has been Rs 6.61 crore as on 31.12.2019. Efforts are being made to minimize the same.
12.Sanitation & Cleanliness:
Comprehensive mechanized cleaning contracts are functioning at Jhansi, Gwalior, Banda, Morena, Lalitpur, Orai, Chitkoot Dhamkarwi, Mahoba and Khajuraho stations.
Pay & Use toilets are functioning at Jhansi, Morena, Chitrakootdham Karwi, Banda, Lalitpur and Mauranipur stations.
Deluxe toilets are functioning at Jhansi and Gwalior stations. While Jhansi has one such toilet, Gwalior has two i.e. one each at the East and West sides.
Imprest has been provided at Jhansi, Gwalior and Khajuraho stations for organizing cleanliness work.
NIT for Dabra and Datia station mechanized cleaning were called and opened on 29.11.2019, Same is under examination of T. C.
13.Cash Remittance in Bank:
Cash of 118 stations and NRH PRS is being remitted in the Bank under cash pick up scheme. Amendment in the MOU has been implemented and payments being done at division level. Bill payments of Jhansi division have been made till November 2019, no further bills are on hand as on date.

·झाँसी स्टेशन पर यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए मोबाइल चार्जिंग पॉइंट्स स्थापित किये गए है एवं ग्वालियर स्टेशन का कार्य प्रगति पर है |

विविध कार्य-
·दिनांक 14.09.19 को टीकमगढ़ स्टेशन पर यात्री सुविधाओं में वृद्धि करते हुए दिव्यांग जन हेतु नवनिर्मित रैंप, नया टॉयलेट कॉम्प्लेक्स एवम् सरकुलाटिंग एरिया में नवनिर्मित उद्यान का लोकार्पण किया गया |
·दिनांक 02.10.19 को गांधी जयंती के अवसर पर झाँसी स्टेशन पर प्लेटफार्म सं 1 पर यात्री हाल में गांधी-वीथिका का अनावरण किया गया |
·दिनांक 23.10.19 को 59821/22 भिंड-कोटा-भिंड पैसेंजर को इटावा तक विस्तारित करते हुए 19811/12 भिंड-इटावा-भिंड एक्सप्रेस में परिवर्तित किया गया |
·दिनांक 07.11.19 को गाड़ी सं 11109/10 लखनऊ-झाँसी-लखनऊ इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस(प्रतिदिन) के मुस्तरा स्टेशन पर ठहराव का शुभारम्भ |
·यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए ग्वालियर स्टेशन प्लेटफार्म 1 (निर्माणाधीन),2-3 एवं 4-5 पर 3 लिफ्ट लगायी गई गए हैं |
·उत्कृष्ट ट्रेन प्रोजेक्ट के अन्तर्गत दिनांक 02.07.19 से ग्वालियर-वाराणसी-ग्वालियर बुंदेलखण्ड एक्स. 11107/08, एवं दिनांक 06.12.19 से एवं 11106/05 झाँसी-बैरकपुर-झाँसी प्रथम स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी एक्स. के उच्चीकृत रैक का परिचालन शुरू किया गया है |
·दिनांक 17.12.19 से झाँसी स्टेशन पर बुन्देली भाषा में जिन्गल्स के माध्यम से यात्रियों को सुरक्षित यात्रा सम्बन्धी सूचनाये प्रदान की जा रही है |
·दिनांक 19.10.19 से ग्वालियर के स्थान पर नवनिर्मित रायरू माल गोदाम से बुकिंग शुरू कर दी गई | ज्ञात हो कि ग्वालियर के अतिव्यस्त इलाके में माल गोदाम होने के कारण माल पहुँचाने तथा ले जाने में व्यापारियों को काफी समस्या का सामना करना पड़ता था I इसके साथ ही इससे स्टेशन पर आने-जाने वाले यात्रियों को भी ट्रैफिक का सामना करना पड़ता था |
·झाँसी मंडल के 16 स्टेशनों को ISO-14001 :2015 प्रमाण पत्र प्रदान किया जा चुका है |
·ग्वालियर हावडा चंबल एक्स , ग्वालियर बलरामपुर सुशासन एक्स, ग्वालियर पुणे एक्स, का संचालन अत्याधुनिक एल. एच. बी. कोचों के साथ प्रारम्भ किया गया | उत्तर प्रदेश संपर्क क्रांति का संचालन एल. एच. बी. कोचों के साथ 26 अप्रैल 2020 से प्रारम्भ किया जायेगा |
