Jhansi Division consist of Divisional Railway Hospital & 09 Health Units (Workshop JHS, RLN/JHS, GWL, RSK/STLI, ORAI, JUI, MBA, LAR & BNDA) which provides medical services to about 114262 Railway population (Including 22736 employees & 12003 RELHS card holders).
This hospital was commissioned in the year 1961 as 100 bedded which was upgraded to 205 beds in the year 1997.

ØICU 08 bedded ( 06 beds for cardiac care & 02 beds for post operative care)
Ø07 cabins (02 for officers & 05 for staff)
ØFull fledged pathology doing all type of investigations & outsourcing of few investigations is done.
ØDigital X-Ray available round the clock.
ØFour full fledged Operation Theatre (02- Major OT & 02-Minor OT) and performing surgeries of Ortho, Eye, General surgeries, Gynae & Obst., ENT.
ØFull fledged Physiotherapy unit.
ØAvailable homeopathy dispensary at Workshop, Jhansi
It provides OPD services of general & specialty wise. Ayurveda OPD is also available at DRH/JHS which is run by Staff benefit fund.

INNOVATIONS & SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT
ØDevelopment of E-Appointment software for OPD patients – system fully functional and online OPD appointment is being provided to all Railway beneficiaries. This system is helpful in reducing crowd in OPD area to reduce risk of COVID-19 transmission.
ØComputerized OPD registration for employees started at DRH/JHS, OPD papers are being prepared for UMID card holders also.
ØComputer generated pathology report for employees, beneficiaries and RELHS card holders started at DRH/JHS
ØCCTV & WiFi are installed in DRH JHS.
ØICU Monitoring Unit with Central Nursing system (Multi Parameter, patient monitor) (06 Nos).

Highlights of the COVID-19 (upto 31.01.2021)
(A) Establishment of 100 bedded isolation ward in DRH/JHS:
ØAs per Railway Brd’s guidelines Hundred (100) beds of DRH/JHS converted into COVID-19 Isolation ward.
ØOn 3rd May-2020 100 beds of DRH/JHS were acquired by DM/JHS for use as L-1 facility.
ØFrom 20th July-20, admission of patients in L-1 started.
ØFacility got converted into L-2 on 20th August-2020.
ØDRH/JHS has been de-notified for management of COVID w.e.f 04.02.2021
(B) Procurement of Material:
ØNecessary items for the prevention and management of corona virus have been indented.
ØGood quantity of some items like N-95 masks, surgical masks, sanitizers, Disposable bed sheets, PPE Kits etc. has been indented
ØOxygen concentrators, Oxygen Cylinders Portable X-Ray machines etc are received at DRH/JHS.
ØIn-house production of 220 litres of hand sanitizer
(C) Infrastructure Development
ØA dedicated FLU OPD is being run.
ØA separate medicine counter for fever and cough cases is being run.
ØTelemedicine facility started at DRH/JHS on 13th May-2020.
ØThirty Two (32) CCTV cameras installed in DRH/JHS.
ØTwenty (20) Fowler beds provided by State administration installed in COVID-19 ICU of DRH/JHS
ØFour (04) Static Ventilator provided by State administration installed in COVID-19 ICU of DRH/JHS.
(D) Screening of patients and passengers for COVID-19:
ØAt Railway station– JHS, thermal screening of boarding passenger is being done by Medical Deptt.
Ø8609 passengers have been screened.
ØIn FLU OPD 8163 patients were screened.
