Other Important Safety Activities

  1. Night inspection by officers – From the period 01 April 2022 to Sep 2022, total 914 nos. night inspections at officers’ level have been conducted. Deficiencies noticed have been forwarded to concerned BOs for corrective action.
  2. Distribution of Posters & Pamphlets – Posters and pamphlets illustrating precautions to be taken by rail-road users are being distributed at different places like villages, bazaars, LC gates, schools etc. In the year 2022-23, almost 7230 posters & pamphlets have been distributed.
  3. Ambush Checks - Ambush checks are being conducted at LC gates, IBHs and stations for checking alertness amongst loco crew, guards and train passing staff.
  4. Availability of infrastructure - LC gates of the division are being inspected by Safety department for checking availability of infrastructure facilities at LC gates. Shortcomings noticed have been advised to concerned branches for taking corrective actions.
  5. Safety Drives – For checking alertness of staff and to counsel them regarding procedures to be followed on various aspects of train operation, regular safety drives have been launched in the division.In the year 2022-23, 07 safety drives have been issued covering important aspects of train working and safety.
  6. Nukkad Natak – Nukkad natak are regularly organized. On the eve of International Level Crossing Awareness Day on 09-06-22, nukkad nataks were organized on various aspects of safety precautions to be taken by rail road users. In the year 2022-23, 16 nukkad nataks have been organized.
  7. Safety Seminar - Safety seminars have been held at different stations on the division for creating safety awareness & counselling of staff regarding instructions issued by the Railway Board and HQ in reference to recent accidents and dos & don’ts. In the year 2022-23, safety seminars have been conducted at GWL, CKTD,MRA,DBA,LAR & Orai stations.
  8. Safety Award-Safety award have been given to many employees for showing alertness and thereby averting the accident. In the year of 2022-23 total34 Safety award of rupees 15000/- have been distributed.
  9. Mobile video van- Safety awareness campaign has been launched in Jhansi division from date22 June 2022 to 27 June 2022 Through Mobile video van at varies locations on Jhansi division like villages, bazaars, LC gates, schools, Stations etc.
