                North Central Railway

1.0    Zonal Railway Profile:

North Central Railway caters to two heavy density over saturated electrified routes i.e. Ghaziabad -Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Palwal-Agra-Bina. Line capacity utilization on these sections has gone up to 170%. N C Railway has 100% electrified B.G. track and hauls approximately 96% of its traffic on electric traction. North Central Railway runs approx. 385 Mail/Express, 176 Passengers / EMU-MEMU and an average POL 507 (Goods+ coaching) daily on electric traction.

North Central Railway has set an example to other organizations by achieving the 1st prize of State Energy Conservation Award-2024 organized by UPNEDA, "Certificate of Merit" to Subedarganj Railway Station in station category in NECA-2024. Earlier NCR has also been awarded 1st prize of National Energy Conservation Award-2023 amongst all the Zonal Railways in Transport Sector by adopting various energy efficient technologies & measures.
