JHANSI DIVISIONThe territory of Jhansi Division of North Central Railway is from Dholpur to Bina (excluding Dhoulpur and Bina), Jhansi to Juhi (excluding Juhi), Jhansi to Manikpur (excluding Manikpur), Gwalior to Udimor (excluding Udimor), Bhimsen to Banda, Mahoba to Khajuraho and Lalitpur to Khajuraho on Broad Gauge network and Gwalior to Sheopurkalan on Narrow Gauge side (presently closed for gauge conversion since 23.08.2021).
During the financial year 2023-24, new gauge converted Broad Gauge line between Birlanagar to Sumaoli in connectionwith Gwaliorto Sheopur kalan gauge conversion work has been commissioned.
Jhansi division is a 100% electrified division with total track kilometer (TKM) of 2687 KM and total route kilometer of 1346 km.
KLAR-MBA (21.582 Kms) & MRPR-TKA (21.187 Kms) new Double line sections have been opened in VGLJ-MKP section, RGU-JSB (28.633 Kms) new Double line sections have been opened in KID-BZM section, New Chordline LAR Town-DWA (6.890 Kms) has been opened and HET-DHO (12.516 Kms) & new 3rd line/ new UP line and ARI-STLI (16.935 Kms) section has been opened in VGLJ-DHO section after 01.04.2024
There are 138 Stations (111 manned interlocked station, 27 halt stations) in the division on which a large number of Mail/Express and freight trains are run and as per newly introduced time table average 207.7 Mail/Express trains (including holiday specials) and Passenger trains are being handled. In addition to above, division is also handling 168 goods trains on an average per day.
The manpower position of the division is: Sanctioned Strength – 19886, Persons-on-Roll – 17075, Vacancies – 2811.
