Highlights of the Personnel Department (from April-2011 to August-2011):

  • ·Panel of 1400 Ex-Servicemen in Grade 5200 – 20200 with Grade Pay 1800/- has been finalized.


    ·Two days Workshop on Hours of Employment Regulation (HOER) and method of conducting Job Analysis and related Manpower Planning issues was organized in Headquarters office. Officers and inspectorial staff from all the Divisions, Workshops and Headquarters of NCR participated in the Workshop. Response of the workshop was very heartening.


    ·Special drive was successfully launched to clear all pending cases of appointment in Group ‘D’ where candidates possessed only 8th standard educational qualifications. This drive was necessitated in view of Railway Board’s letter No.E(NG)II/2009/RR1/10/Pt. dated 05.1.2011.


    ·Two weeks Training Programme for ministerial staff of Personnel Department was organized in the STC/Jhansi. Clerical staff of both the Jhansi Division and Jhansi Workshop participated in this Programme. This is an innovative scheme under which regular courses will now be held by the Jhansi Workshop for ministerial staff.


    ·Women’s International Day was celebrated with enthusiasm on 8th March on NCR. Women Welfare Organisations of NCR also participated extensively. Various competitions such as Essay, Debate, Art making etc. were organized on this day.


    ·Smt. Rajni Awasthi, Chief OS, Pay Bill of Jhansi Workshop was awarded the Outstanding Railway Women Employee by RWWCO, New Delhi, on this occasion


    ·On arrival of Sanskriti Express Allahabad 22.04.2011 a memorable performance was put up by the cultural team of North Central Railway & Kolkata


    ·56th Railway Week was organized at zonal level on 13th April 2011 with enthusiasm. One hundred and sixty staff and officers were awarded for their meritorious service on this occasion. Thirty eight shields/trophies including two group awards were also given to the departments for outstanding performance in different fields.


    ·Scouts & Guides of Agra Division organized a Shivir from 06/04/2011 to 13/04/2011 at “Semri Mela” (Agra) for Social Service to assist pilgrims, during the Mela period.


    ·Drawing Classes (Jodhpuri Art) were organized from 12/04/2011 to 17/04/2011 in Jhansi.


    ·Cultural play team of NCR has participated in Inter Railway Cultural competition held at Jaipur, between 27/04/11 to 29/04/11. In appreciation of their excellent performance, GM/NWR had announced a cash award of20,000/- to the NCR team.


    ·Cultural team of NCR participated in Inter Railway Cultural Competition in Vocal Music held at Guwahati between 25/05/11 to 28/05/11. Shri Shamit Mallik, participant from NCR won 1st Prize in Classical Music.

    ·Katthak Classes for children of Railway employees have also been started from 05/05/2011 in Jhansi Workshop.


    ·Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for 6, 24,000 applicants (against Group ‘D’ Notification No. 01/2007) was smoothly and successfully completed on 28.06.2011. Out of these about 54,600 number of persons qualified the PET.


    ·An initiative was taken by NCRWWO wherein spouses of Railway Loco Pilots (those who had completed 20 years of Accident Free Service) were invited and honored. The initiative was extremely well received by the families, who were greatly moved by this gesture of acknowledgement of the role of families and spouses in the success of their spouses. About Rs. 54,000/- was distributed as award in the function.


    ·A total of 651 girl and 189 male children of Group ‘D’ Employees were awarded with scholarship for Higher Education and`1,11,38,796/-were distributed.


    ·Officials of Agra Division have done commendable job by providing excellent social services to Railway passengers during “Poornima Mela” & “Jai Gurudev Mela” at Mathura and assisted in pilgrimages.
