ELECTRICAL (OPERATION)


§ORGANIZATION & JURISDICTION


The Electrical Operation Branch (OP) of Jhansi division is responsible for following functions


i)Management of AC & DSL Locomotives on line.

ii)Management of lobbies and running staff (for both traction) including their training etc.

iii)Cadre control of all loco running staff, including Diesel trained running staff & supervisors.

iv)Management of Running Room infrastructure facilities at Jhansi, BNDA, KURJ, & GWL.

v)Management ofAC Locos at Trip Shed Jhansi.

§HIGHLIGHTS/ACHIEVEMENTS ( 2022-2023)

1.

Combined Crew Booking Lobby & Chief Crew Controller office VGLB, was inaugurated by GM Sir on date 10.09.2022. The New Lobby & Office is now situated at Platform No.-1. Both Lobby & Office are now equipped with all modern facilities. This will now help in smooth train operation.  CCC office & Lobby being at one place will help the staff to complete their office related issues quickly.

On 11.06.22 Yard Simulator KIOSK was inaugurated at JHANSI Lobby by PCEE Sir. This yard simulator will help in reducing SPAD, Derailments, and Point Bursting cases in yards. This KIOSK will also help the staff regarding the following :-

a) Important points regarding yard counseling.

b) Refreshing road knowledge of yards in  

    which the crew has not worked for a long time.

c) Display of routes of all connected lines for departure & receptions of trains. 

d) Displaying signal number of each & every signals.

e) Actual photograph of the signal and its location.

CBC (Computer based counselling) system has been introduced in JHS lobby on 07.11.20   This system will help LP/LPS/ALP in safe train operation during foggy weather by their intensive counseling. CBC has numerous counselling features such as :-

a)Focussed counselling to checked confidence of crew regarding safe train operation

b)Random question sets for LP/ALP to check his alertness on focussed areas.

c)SMS feedback to LP/ALP & their assigned CLI regarding their counselling performance.

d)All counseling details are automatically recorded & updated on system.

e)Structured counselling system for different category of crew during Sign On (First time operation, After long absentee, On basis of Driving experience, Weak areas, Suspected list etc).

IPAMS new APP for CLI’s monitoring, counseling and all other information related to running staff has been introduced. This APP is having the new features of monitoring CLIs and Crew working performance.

a)Day/Night , Mail/Goods & Footplate Hours Analysis.

b)Daily Footplate Monitoring.

c)Special watch / Counseling of Suspected, First Time Fog working & new LPG.

d)Sectionwise, Kilometer on Footplate.

e)Integrated SPM analysis.

Running Room Management System is introduced in Jhansi Running Room. All Crew database of adjoining division has been updated in this system. Following data is displayed:-

a)Crew Name.

b)Room Booking, Date, Time.

c)Food requirement & Prepration time.

d)Outgoing & Incoming Train number.

e)Vacant /Occupied Beds status.

f)Rest Hours of Crew

g)Complaints can also be lodged by Crew online through QR code. QR code is available at Lobby, Running Room & in App. The Complaint is redressed by CLI/RR & Officers.

 Following COVID facilities have been provided at Jhansi Lobby,Running Room , Trip Shed:-

a)Auto Hand Santizing Machine. Hands Free Wash.

b)Contactless SIGN ON/OFF.

c)Thermal Scanning & Mask for every person entering for duty.

d)Maintaining Social Distancing.                

7.

Conversion from Diesel to AC during 40 staff (01 CLI, 18 LP, 21 ALP) has been sent in current financial year. Conversion of 97 staff (35 LP, 62 ALP) has been done during 2021-22.

  8.

During 2022-23 (upto SEP-22), total 50 staff grievances were received out of which 44 grievances were resolved remaining 06 grievances will be resolved with a month. In 2021-22, total 102 staff grievances were received out of which 102 grievances were resolved.

During 2022-23 (upto SEP-22), total 37 Staff safety Seminar & 01 Family Seminar were organized. In 2021-22, total 37 Staff Seminar & 01 Family Seminar were organized during the year for Safe Train Operation, & other running staff related problems.

10.

During 2022-23 (upto SEP-22), 361 Rocket & 192 Python trains are operated by JHS crew. Whereas during 2021-22, 540 Rocket, 124 Python trains were operated by JHS crew, which has resulted into saving of crew.

11.

During 2022-23 (upto SEP-22), Speed Analysis of 1733 trains were done. In 2021-22, total Speed Analysis of 3239 trains were done for safe train operation.

12.

During 2022-23 (upto SEP-22), total 307 CUG calls analysis were done. 58 staff were taken up under DAR. In 2021-22, total 603 CUG calls analysis were done. 51 staff were issued warning letter, & 02 were taken up under DAR.

13.

In Jhansi running room software “Computerized Running Room Management System” has been introduced which is helping in maintaining quality rest and other running room facilities given to running staff.

14.

Family Helpline number (9794847164) for Running Staff has been started round the clock, which is helpful in communicating any emergency help/message to staff. During 2022-23 (upto SEP-22) total 190 messages have been received & in 2021-22, total 373 messages have been received during this year and all cases have been resolved.
